It was great to see the Maltsters open for the Bank Holiday weekend even though the place looked a bit stark. Food is not available yet as the kitchen has no equipment left but they hope to rectify this very soon.

We arrived on Saturday morning and the new landlord had discovered cement had been tipped down the drains so we didn't get chance to speak to him as he was busy trying to sort that out. Gordon, behind the bar was very friendly though and let us leave some leaflets on the bar.

There is a chalkboard saying Roy & Alice welcome you and please bear with them while they refit and refurbish The Maltsters and that they hope you agree it is better to be open and running as it is than closed.

Roy and Alice if you are looking in the answer is yes. The Bell re-open, now The Maltsters, lets keep our fingers crossed for the others. -uu-
